November 4: Day Eight
Barangay Fatima to Rosa Mystica Chapel

At 4:00am, the pilgrims gathered for the Misa de Gallo.  After eating a simple breakfast and clearing up the catechism center, they started the walk from Barangay Fatima to Rosa Mystica Chapel in Barangay San Isidro.

Escorted by police, the Pilgrim Virgin processed in front of the City Hall where around 300 employees stood gathered around a little altar of Our Lady of Lourdes. They were waiting in attendance.  Upon arrival, they sang Marian hymns and offered flowers to Our Lady.  Fr. Tim preached about the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary then everyone knelt in prayer, as, assisted by Fr. Timothy Pfeiffer, the Vice Mayor consecrated city of General Santos to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on behalf of the Mayor, who, being Protestant, could not do it.  The Pilgrim Virgin came as a Mother to Her children and many an eye was misty.  It was a solemn, touching scene.  The Vice Mayor asked Fr. Tim if he could come back and give a conference. How could Father refuse this sincere request?

Then the Vice Mayor and a few staff accompanied the procession of the Pilgrim Virgin to the parish church of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.  There were around 200 parishioners inside.  They joined in the singing of the hymn to Our Lady then knelt and joined in the Fatima prayers.  They listened to the preaching of Fr. Tim regarding the message of Our Lady of Fatima. The Parish Priest was not there but a Brother was and he set up the sound system for Father's use.  After the brief sermon, Fr. Tim led the procession towards Rosa Mystica Chapel.

At the Rosa Mystica Chapel, the Pilgrim Virgin was brought to the sanctuary and placed on the floral grotto as the faithful sang heartily.  Everyone knelt as Fr. Pfeiffer consecrated the chapel to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.   Three policemen who escorted the pilgrimage knelt down before the altar and were then enrolled in the Brown Scapular.

After some rest, the pilgrims gathered in the Church again to attend the First Friday Mass and the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.  There was a long line at the confessional. Benediction was at 10:00pm.

That night, the pilgrims camped at the parish hall. The elderly female catechists slept at the unfinished mission dormitory while two elderly male catechists slept at the unfinished choir loft. The Brothers camped in the basement.  Everyone was eager to offer some sacrifice.  O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee and for all those who do not have recourse to thee, especially the Freemasons and all those who are commended to thee.
