We have now reached the floor level for the
sanctuary area. It seems that we have not done much work! The truth of the
matter is that below this layer of sand, to a depth of 6 meters, lies a
forest of steel and concrete. Refilling the soil has taken more or less 10
thousand tractor loads! The Church is built on such a solid foundation, that
if ever an earthquake should destroy it, I think the whole Philippines would
already be destroyed !! |
