Photo Album India May 2002 The location for the new priory is a former rice paddy, so after one rainstorm it became a nice two acre lake. Fortunately we have since filled the land with several feet of fill dirt. The location is quite good, near the Catholic cemetery, off a main road, and adjacent to a primarily Catholic part of town. In fact, the neighbors have approached us and remarked how happy they are that we will be building a church there. The compound wall is almost finished.   Fr. Angelo baptizes a little child in Bassein, from our Bombay congregation.   The altar in Singamparai is finally finished: painted by Mr. Maria Singam to look amazingly marble-like.   back to photo album contents
