India
April 2002

During
the summer months, the only place to sit is under the ceiling fan.
If you have only one fan, its a good place for a priest's meeting,
except all your pages get blown away.

As
part of the end-of-the-year tour, the Hostel boys visit
the shrine in honor of the Martyr Devasahayam, a Brahmin
convert who was tortured and beheaded for his principalled
stand that Christianity was the only true religion of the
One True God. He had been converted by an imprisoned Portuguese
ship Captain. See what one well-informed layman can do?

At
the end of the second hostel year, we celebrated
by taking the boys on an outing to the mountains.
Here they beat the heat in one of South India's famous waterfalls.

Upstairs
at the St. Pius X Hostel, a new, spacious room is being prepared
to house the vocations spontaneously arriving at our door.
The tide has begun to turn, and the more we inform Catholics
about the existence of Tradition, the more will seek us out as having
the solution to the unsolvable problem of Modernism.

Three
of the seminarians lately escaped from the den of heresy known
as "St. Pius College" in Goregaon, Bombay, discuss
the years of suffering they endured at the hands of an
all-Modernist faculty at the Seminary. They are currently
receiving lectures three times daily: on the SSPX, Catechism,
and Chant. They have since been joined by one of their confreres,
and another young man from Karnataka. Next week a fully fledged
Medical Doctor from Bangalore will come, all with the interest
of being priests of Our Lord.

A
compound wall is being erected around the full 2 acres purchased
for our entire apostolate in the future.
Benefactors, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The
church of St. Anthony, in Singamparai, is now almost finished,
after 13 years of sporadic work. The 45 people attending Sunday
Mass there
are thorough going Traditionalists, and several of their children
now study with us in the Boy's Hostel.
